From inventory to pre-order drops

Andean Blue began with small-batch inventory sales of the original backpack line.

From 2021 to 2024, the bags were sold online, including through Amazon. Over time, it became clear that this was a niche product and that holding inventory was not the right model for the brand.

The newer approach is slower and more deliberate: specific releases, offered through pre-orders and limited drops.

2021–2024: the original backpack line

The first phase of Andean Blue focused on backpacks made with traditional Andean striped textiles and sold from inventory.

This period helped define the visual direction of the brand and showed that there was real interest in the concept, even if the inventory model was not sustainable for a niche product.

Selected past releases and designs

These are some of the designs, product images, and release concepts that shaped the project over time.

Why the process changed

Andean Blue moved away from holding inventory because the product sold too slowly for that model to make sense.

Rather than producing and storing bags in advance, the brand now develops releases more deliberately and offers them through pre-orders.This makes it possible to keep building the project without relying on constant inventory.

Where Andean Blue is now

Today, Andean Blue is focused on new designs released through small pre-order drops a few times a year.

The goal remains the same: functional modern bags shaped by Andean textile design.
